Who We Are icon-wave Masalaa is proud to be the first and only Indian restaurant to receive Smart Meal Seal in Colorado. The Small Steps for Healthy Leaps restaurant program is a state-wide initiative sponsored by the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment to stop the rise of obesity. The Smart Meal Seal was created by the Department of Public Health and Environment to establish nutrition requirements specifically designed for restaurant meals. This seal helps customers to be able to easily recognize healthy choices a restaurant has to offer. Guidelines for the nutrition requirements are set by The American Heart Association, 5 A Day for Better Health and the FDA nutrition labeling food guidelines.

Masalaa serves only Vegetarian Fare, But is one amongst the very best amongst Indian Restaurants in Denver area. The highlight of their buffer are the Vadas and Dosas served with South Indian Sambar, the only thing which is not so good about Masalaa is they are mostly understaffed during peak hours and they take a lot of time to turn around with your Dosa orders that are part of your buffet. Also if one is too keen on finishing off your dinner with some good Red Wine, this place is not for you. That apart you can grow your tummy eating out here with their tasty and thoroughly homely Indian food

I just had the most divine meal at Masalaa. I've been going here for well over a decade and not only is the food always superb, but the service and prices are always great too. I appreciate that it's easy to get delicious vegan and gluten-free food. There is a reason why most of the guests there are Indian. The environment, the kind service and the fabulous food all make me feel like I am back in India. Each time I go I make sure to order extra to take home. Thank you Masalaa!! Namaste

Questions & Answers

I would agree with Madhav. Most indian food contains milk and its products. Not suitable for vegan. It may be better to go a la carte. The food is okay and service is well below par for the prices they charge. The service staff are not trained and do not pay attention to the needs to the customers. It is a vegetarian but not a vegan restaurant. But call and ask if they are agreeable to prepare your food vegan style. All the best.
